Unbelievable

I am dinged by Columbia. I thought I would take any decision easier this time, two months after R1 results, but still it gave me five seconds of deep chill till I was able to move further.

Strange. Am I really this weird?

Comments:
Really sorry to hear that...no you are not weird...you always hope!! Its the way we live..

I know its little consolation, but Columbia has become a very difficult school to get into..I guess the NYC factor...I know statistics only mean so much, but Columbia had a lower acceptance rate last year than HBS and Wharton.

Stay positive for Darden - hope you will hear soon.

sorry about this...((

Sorry to hear about it. Take a moment, breath, and then get up and keep moving...

privet Natasha ! ya voobshe udivlen ! kak ze tak u tibe v rode sve stats normalnie ya be skazal daze horoshie (to est GMAT,TOEFL , W/e sve ok!)... no dumau eta ni konets esho ostalsya Darden! ... by the way i am a little worried about my own app now, since in your case each school considered your app pretty seriously - since U got an interview with most of the schools (if they don’t like the candidate they usually don’t even bother interviewing). well ,reading some of ur previous blogs, it seems you are very strong and a small setback like this wont really matter in the long run so "ni pira ni puxa" --Cheers

very sorry to hear that. i was sincerely hoping that columbia would show you some love. i know it must hurt, but by now you know that this process is a tad unpredictable. i hope you are holding your ground, and i wish the best for darden.

Nat, don't be upset!
Just remember that the process is extremely competitive and they do have the max number of Russians for one course.
Rethink why you want it, get feedback on "why" they did what they did, and try next year.
